Creative Concept

            (CONTEXT) Abode was born out of a need to ease the shared ownership and rental living process within affordable housing. Often one filled with anxiety, isolation and unknowns. Abode puts you in control, creating communities that live, grow and flourish.

            (POSITIONING) Abode is a creative concept that was created as part of a lengthy pitch process with Legal and General. The MVP solution needed to offer effortless management of repairs, rent payments, onboarding and exiting through an app or portal. We evolved Legal and General’s brand guidelines to create an emotionally concerned sub brand, Abode, and set out creating a friendly faced service that would give homeowners confidence and peace of mind.
            (DESIGN) It was a quick 3 week project to concept the name, look and feel, app prototype and pitch film, focusing on the onboarding journey. Visually and verbally, the identity creates an optimistic brand in a functional space which gives the business the ability to present a more positive and welcoming view of affordable housing. The mix of photography and illustration add warmth and charm whilst also helping to illustrate the more dry topics.
